Ian Sanchez has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector and a broad background in power project finance, acquisitions and development. While at BowMont, Ian has advised clients on multiple acquisition, divestiture and project financing transactions, advised on several strategic advisory mandates and led multiple successful project developments. Prior to co-founding BowMont in 2010, Ian was Vice President of Corporate Development at Maxim Power Corp. for 9 years. Prior to that, Ian held various roles with TransAlta Corporation and was responsible for developing and acquiring independent power projects throughout North America and abroad.
Ian has a Master of Business Administration degree from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
Ian is a member of the board of directors of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta (IPPSA).

Steve Gwozd has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry in various corporate finance capacities. He has worked extensively with IPPs, renewable developers, and institutional investors. Steve regularly supports clients through financial modelling, valuation, and strategic transaction advisory. Before joining BowMont in April 2018, Steve worked at AltaGas Ltd. in areas such as Commodity Risk, Business Development, Investor Relations, and Treasury.
Steve has a Master of Business Administration degree from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Finance from the University of Calgary.
