Ian Sanchez

Mr. Sanchez has over 18 years of experience in the energy sector and a broad background in power and infrastructure project development, acquisitions and financing. Most of this experience has been gained as a senior corporate development executive within the power sector. Most recently, Mr. Sanchez held the position of Vice President Corporate Development at Maxim Power Corp where he was responsible for the company's corporate development, mergers & acquisitions and commercial activities. During his tenure at Maxim, Mr. Sanchez led multiple successful corporate and asset acquisitions in Canada, the USA and Europe and built a portfolio totaling over 40 power stations. Mr. Sanchez also led or was involved in various financing initiatives including public equity, private equity and project debt financings.

Prior to this, Mr. Sanchez was with TransAlta Corporation where he was responsible for developing and acquiring independent power projects throughout North America, Latin America and the South Pacific. Mr. Sanchez has also spent time in the oil and gas industry in production operations, reservoir engineering, development and international mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Sanchez has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
